DESCRIPTION:Calling all Teachers\, Child Care Providers\, Parent Educators\, and Therapists who Work with Children…North Seattle College will host an online lecture “Staying Connected in Conflict Preparing for Behaviors After COVID” lecture with Betty Peralta on Saturday\, May 23\, 9:30-11 a.m. 12:30-2:30 p.m. (with an hour lunch between). \nLearning Objectives \nCo-regulate until kids can self-regulate \nOpen your mind to a new paradigm of discipline \nNotice and respond to children’s neurodevelopmental needs \nNavigate your own neurobiological needs \nEmpower yourself and children to self-advocate together \nCultivate cooperation over compliance \nTeach children to connect with each other \n…all in the midst of big emotions in conflict. \n  \nThis lecture is a fundraiser to support the North Seattle College’s Parent Education’s Shelter Program and is sponsored by Molina Health and Los Mujeres Latinas. \nAny donation amount is welcomed!
