SUMMARY:Summer 2020 Online Class Starts
DESCRIPTION:Understanding Children: Creating and Enhancing Learning Environments\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin a community of online learners. We all benefit from community and connection. 2020 has made remote learning and home learning a necessity. We’re currently registering for the online course Understanding Children\, which starts June 29\, 2020. Every quarter we have a different focus\, and this summer we’ll be examining creating remote learning environments and enhancing home learning opportunities.  \nThe class is 5 credits and consists of weekly readings/videos\, online class discussions\, and occasional shorts essays. It’s appropriate for parents\, teachers\, early childhood professionals\, caregivers and others with children in their lives-infant through young adult. \nTopics will include: \n\nHow children learn in different settings (home/remote)\nAdapting learning environments during COVID-19 (for parents and teachers)\nActivity/play-based learning and\nStrategies for avoidance\, power struggles and fatigue\n\nThe course number is FAM 184 and the link to register is https://mynorth.seattlecolleges.edu/ \n\nSummer 2020 Understanding Children flyer
