Neuroscience, Wellbeing, and Social Justice: An Exploration of Our Inner and Collective Resources

This workshop explores the wisdom of the nervous system from both a neuroscience and social justice perspective, reflecting on wellbeing in an individual capacity, wellbeing as a collective necessity, and the connection between wellbeing and social justice.

Our guest speaker Paulina Cuevas Vega has been supporting families, students, and educators for more than 20 years. She is a Positive Discipline Lead Trainer, with an MA in educational psychology, a license in K-12 counseling, and a 500-hour certificate as a Yoga and Mindfulness instructor. Among other topics, she has facilitated more than 50 positive discipline workshops and has certified almost 1,000 educators around the globe. She is passionate about using neuroscience, embodiment, and somatic practices to nurture self-care and wellbeing as an act of social justice.
