Calling all Teachers, Child Care Providers, Parent Educators, and Therapists who Work with Children…North Seattle College will host an online lecture “Staying Connected in Conflict Preparing for Behaviors After COVID” lecture with Betty Peralta on Saturday, May 23, 9:30-11 a.m. 12:30-2:30 p.m. (with an hour lunch between).
Learning Objectives
Co-regulate until kids can self-regulate
Open your mind to a new paradigm of discipline
Notice and respond to children’s neurodevelopmental needs
Navigate your own neurobiological needs
Empower yourself and children to self-advocate together
Cultivate cooperation over compliance
Teach children to connect with each other
…all in the midst of big emotions in conflict.
