Our Silent Auction Fundraiser is fast approaching—December 6–13—and it is our largest fundraising event of the year. Every dollar raised goes directly to the PAC Scholarship Fund, which provides tuition assistance to families who otherwise would not have access to our cooperative preschool programs. Thanks to this fund, about 10% of our co-op families can participate each year, helping us truly live out our core values of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.
This year demonstrates the profound impact of our community’s generosity. In Fall Quarter 2025 alone, PAC awarded scholarships to 70 children, totaling $24,158.43 in tuition support. These scholarships ensured that dozens of families had access to high-quality early learning and the full cooperative preschool experience—an extraordinary reflection of our shared values in action.
As we nurture our young learners, we understand how essential Access, Community, and Opportunity (ACO) and anti-bias education are in shaping their early experiences. These principles help children build empathy, question stereotypes, embrace diversity, and grow into confident, compassionate learners. When we teach children to understand and value differences, we prepare them to thrive in a diverse and interconnected world.
But for these values to become reality, equitable access must come first. Cooperative preschools rely on family participation, which can unintentionally create barriers for those experiencing financial hardship or systemic inequities. That is why our scholarship fund is at the heart of our ACO work—it directly removes financial obstacles so that all families can fully participate in our program and community.
Our scholarship fund is made possible entirely through community-driven fundraising, including our Silent Auction. This fund supports:
- Needs-based scholarships that reduce financial barriers for families.
- Inclusive enrollment practices that welcome underserved and marginalized communities.
- Anti-bias training, resources, and support for parents and educators.
- Opportunities for all families to be active partners in our cooperative model.
When we invest in equity, we invest in children.
When we fundraise, we open doors for more families to join our community.
When we work together, we build a preschool environment where every child—and every caregiver—feels seen, supported, and valued.
Your participation in the Silent Auction is more than bidding on items. It is a powerful act of solidarity and a direct investment in equity, access, and opportunity for our cooperative preschools.
Together, we can continue ensuring that every family—regardless of financial circumstance—has the opportunity to learn, participate, and thrive.
Thank you for helping us build a stronger, more equitable preschool community—one family at a time.
